VTT Thermo-Isolating O2 Bungs

Description

Protect an oxygen sensor in a high-heat, pre-turbo location with a bung designed to move the sensing element away from the manifold and limit direct exhaust-gas exposure. Each bung is machined from billet 310 stainless steel for elevated-temperature service.

Available Styles

• Screw-in: installs in an existing oxygen-sensor bung and uses four external heat-sink fins
• Weld-in: welds directly to the manifold or header and uses eight external heat-sink fins

Price is for one bung. Extra sealing washers are available through the product options.

Installation Orientation

The alignment dot on the hex must face into the exhaust stream. Correct orientation creates the intended venturi effect and moves exhaust through the bung and across the sensor. The screw-in version may require washer adjustment to achieve the correct orientation.

Dimensions

• Screw-in height: 1.15 inches above the existing bung
• Weld-in height: 1.57 inches above the welded surface
• Outside diameter: 1 inch
