Description

The Castrol Magna™ CL Range (previously called Castrol Cresta™ VA range and Cresta™ SHS) is formulated with high quality mineral base oils, with the addition of friction and lubricity modifiers to increase the film strength and reduce friction. Water is thoroughly emulsified by the additives in Magna CL to resist wash-off from metal surfaces, helping to prevent corrosion and wear when moisture is present. Magna CL 1000 is formulated from selected base cylinder stocks to achieve the desirable characteristics of high flash point and oxidation stability. It possess good demulsibility, which means for the lubrication of the cylinders of high speed, totally enclosed steam engines, it does not materially reduce the demulsibility of the crankcase oil.
